Edo Competition take on the mighty Mercedes McLaren SLR resulted in this magnificent car you see here. It is a bit confusing though!

You see the SLR is long out of produciton now, but that’s alright because there are now many people who would like to change it a bit, freshen things up. Then there is the name. It’s called the 722 Black Arrow, and that refers to the power output of the car which is 722 hp. But then Mercedes also made the SLR 722 Edition. What’s more Edo has changed the Silver Arrow to Black Arrow. We don’t blame you is your head hurts!

Apart form the name though, this is a seriously awesome car. It features a flat black exterior with red 722 graphics. The body is complemented by massive 21-inch black rims, wrapped in high performance rubber. Inside the super sports cabin you find bucket seats with leather/alcantara skins, the grippy alcantara steering wheel with shift paddles and custom made carbon fiber pieces for the dashboard, center console and door panels.

Edo also adds new equipments that were missing on the base car like a new custom sound system featuring navigation, phone, TV and iPod integration as well as a reversing camera.

Then there’s the engine. As mentioned Edo has tweaked the supercharged V8 up to 722 horsepower at 7,100 rpm and 890 Nm (656 lb-ft) of torque. Moficications include revised intake system, new exhaust headers, high flow catalytic converters and air filters, as well as modifying drive ratio and ECU remapping. As for the performance, 0 to 100 km/h is done in 3.4 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 345 km/h (214 mph).

So if you are kinda bored with your old supercar, try out this package. Mind you, it won’t be cheap!
