Chevrolet has unleashed its muscular V8 Camaro Convertible in the UK. Is it a better buy than the V6-engined Infiniti G37

Ford has created this Shelby GT500 Cobra to commemorate the late Carroll Shelby. The one-of-a-kind model is based on the 2013 Shelby GT500 – but the Cobra version’s supercharged Ford Racing V8 engine pumps out 850bhp compared to the standard model’s 662bhp. The Cobra also features a special bodykit and a Guardsman Blue paintjob complete with a Wimbledon White stripe, as well as extra-wide 20-inch rear wheels,. The unique tribute car has been unveiled at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion in California. Ford’s group vice president for sales and marketing, Jo Farley, said: “Even at 89 years of age, Carroll was an inspiration to us all. “This year marks the 50th anniversary of the original Shelby Cobra. The one-off car we have created represents the very idea he had about making the 2013 Shelby GT500 into a true Cobra.” Shelby died in May this year.

Overfinch, the popular Range Rover tuner, has presented its newest limited-edition model -- the GTS-X – the most powerful and fastest Range Rover Sport-based model that Overfinch has ever built. With a starting price of £147,500, the Overfinch body styling package features daytime running lights, copper range paintwork, as well as color-coded side panels and vents. It also has a set of 22-inch alloys and special two-tone badging. Powering the GTS-X is a tuned version of the Range Rover Sport’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, which delivers 575bhp and 516lb ft of torque. The GTS-X can reach a top speed of 145mph and can accelerate from zero to 60mph in 5.0sec, which makes it 0.9sec faster than the standard car. The Overfinch GTS-X has 380mm drilled and ventilated Brembo disc brakes while its exhaust system has a driver-operated electronic valve release so that the V8’s sound can be easier to hear than usual. In addition, the GTS-X has an electronic lowering module that regulates the suspension under braking so that it becomes more stable and the quality of the ride is improved. Overfinch said that the module complements the rear spoiler to intensify the downforce. It comes with a full Nappa leather interior. It also has an orange-stitched steering wheel, headlining and door cards. Carbonfiber is also used extensively on its gearshift paddles and tread plates
